Korean car manufacturer Hyundai unveiled the 2019 Veloster at the ongoing North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The company showcased the all-new 2019 model year alongside a turbocharged option, and a new high performance model under the N lineup. Making matters all the more interesting, Hyundai also unveiled the special edition Veloster for the upcoming movie ‘Marvel Ant-Man and the Wasp’.
The vehicle continues to be offered with a two-plus-one door body design, with an extra right-side door for convenient rear-seat access. The vehicle gets a new design grille on the front along with LED headlamps and LED DRLs. It also gets a lowered roofline to give it a coupe like stance, while the rear looks sporty with an aggressive integrated diffuser design.
As for the interior, the 2019 Hyundai Veloster offers unique colour options, materials and accents which give it a distinctive identity. Mechanically, the Veloster is powered by a 2.0-litre inline-four petrol engine that generates 144bhp of power and 178Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to either six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission options. The powerful Turbo variant is powered by a 1.6-liter turbo-charged engine that generates 198bhp of power and 264Nm of torque. The powerful engine comes mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
