The latest iteration of the Dacia (Renault) Duster was recently revealed in pictures ahead of its world debut. The upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show is where the public will be able to see the SUV in flesh on 12 September 2017. The Duster's specifications and interiors will be formally revealed then. For now, this photo tour will get you up and close with the SUV unveiled to the media in France.
The carmaker calls this version as an evolutionary upgrade from the present model. The changes have made the Duster a more premium vehicle with dynamic design and character.Â
The overall shape features rounded off edges with a smoother design. The new lines on the body lay emphasis on the automaker’s new approach of styling.
The Dacia's signature grille can be seen with chrome inserts and the Dacia badge in between. This is flanked by headlamps.
The headlamp inserts get LED daytime running lamps with a new lighting signature. This has been added as a standard feature now.
Across the front of the car there's a new chrome finish skid plate. This, along with aluminium roof bars, add to its sporty looks.
The 17-inch alloy wheels get a gorgeous new pattern. To further add to the appeal, there are prominent wheel arches. These end with black wing arches embossed with the AWD badge.Â
Dacia has moved the tail lamps into the corners and made them very compact in size. Also, the reworked design gives it a funky avatar.
The carmaker is still keeping the new and improved cabin under wraps until the car’s debut. We can expect that there will be significant upgrades, which we will feature in our next picture gallery.
We expect the Duster to be powered by the same drivetrains featured on the previous generation - the 1.5-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol.Â
One can have the Duster either in the four wheel drive or two wheel drive version depending on the trim level.
The new Dacia Duster is expected to go on sale in Europe later this year and in UK in mid-2018. This revamped Duster is likely to come to India only in 2019.
