Reports suggest that Renault is planning to unveil the new Dacia Duster on June 22 at an event in Paris. This would be the second iteration of the popular crossover, which is sold as the Renault Duster in the Indian market.
The Dacia Duster was earlier expected to make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, later this year. Now though, rumours indicate that the crossover will be unveiled sooner than expected. The Duster has been spotted undergoing trials in Europe before, revealing a few details about the new version.
The overall profile of the Duster remains the same, it continues with the distinctive grille, roof rails and the overall profile. The wheels however, feature a new design while the headlamps seem rectangular-ish, similar to the Nissan Terrano. We can expect it to get a few creature comforts like a new touchscreen infotainment system. There have been rumours about a new third row seat to make it a seven-seater, though the company hasn’t confirmed this yet.Â
With the current Duster being a seven year old model, we can expect the new generation Duster to go on sale in the second half of this year. It will be launched as a 2018 model, and will also spawn a new Nissan Terrano.
