Audi recently launched the second-generation RS5 Coupe in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.1 crores. The two-door coupe is underpinned by a new platform and a smaller but more powerful twin turbo V6 mill under the hood. It now joins the A5 and S5 siblings in the carmaker's portfolio. Take a look at these smashing pictures of the sports car.
The latest iteration of the Audi RS5 Coupe comes to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), like all recent performance models from the Ingolstadt automaker's stable.
Measuring 4,723mm in overall length, the RS5 has a wheelbase of 2,766mm. It gets a 465 litre boot and comes with a 58-litre fuel tank.
The aggressive styling cues are what set the RS5 apart from the standard A5. The front bumper gets large intakes on both sides and a pronounced carbon fibre lip spoiler.
The new car's front grille has a hexagonal mesh design and a gloss black frame flanked by Matrix LED headlights.Â
Moving on to the side, the pillar-less doors with gloss black trim around the windows add to the appeal. These are complemented by 19-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels.
At the rear, LED tail lights and a unique rear bumper with an integrated carbon diffuser and twin oval exhaust tips complete the sporty look.Â
In the cabin of the RS5 Coupe are leather interiors with RS sports seats and a black dashboard with carbon fibre trim.
It has a three-spoke, flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel and Audi's Virtual Cockpit. Another eye-catching feature is Audi's MMI touchscreen infotainment system.
Powering the Audi RS5 Coupe is a 2.9-litre, twin-turbo V6 petrol engine that churns out 444bhp and 600Nm of torque.Â
The powerplant comes mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifts and Quattro all-wheel drive system. It boasts of three driving modes - Auto, Comfort and Dynamic.Â
Audi claims that the RS5 Coupe is capable of sprinting from 0-100kmph in just 3.9 seconds, while boasting of a top speed of 250kmph.
