Aston Martin has launched their all-new sportscar, the V8 Vantage at an interesting price tag of Rs 2.95 crores ex-showroom Mumbai. Positioning itself under the Italians, the Aston brings old-British motoring to India blended with cutting edge technology.
The new Aston Martin looks absolutely stunning with the wide mesh signature grille gaping with aggression. The long hood with the subtle creases embodies British design.
Move on to the sides and it is difficult to decide which of the two, the wheels or the classic coupe lines are more beautiful to look at.
The tail, again, is evocative with the LED strip of the tail lamp running across the length and the large splitter almost replacing the rear bumper, screaming performance from every angle.
On the inside, the British luxury stamps its legacy with the Alcantara bucket seats that are power adjustable and have the Vantage badge embroidered in the seat back rest.
It is plush and modern unlike many a sportscar with its central infotainment display screen, automatic climate control and the adorable set of toggle switches and press-buttons.
The instrument cluster is also a TFT screen split into three dials that read everything from the trip computer, vehicle settings and the speed and revs.
There is a two-tier stowage space behind the front seats if the 350-litre boot isn’t enough to pack all your bags.
Under the hood, you have the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine developing 504bhp of power and 650Nm of torque mated to an eight-speed gearbox driving the rear wheels.
It does the 0-100kmph dash in 3.6 seconds on its way to a 310+kmph top speed. It gets dynamic torque vectoring, slip control, traction control and a bunch of driver aids.
With its godly looks and interesting price tag, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage should become a favourite soon and we can’t wait to lay our hands on it to see how it drives!
