Nissan India has discretely launched the new model year of the Sunny sedan in India at Rs 7.91 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The C-segment sedan in Nissan’s India line-up comes with a new body colour and refreshed upholstery with the update.
The new additions to the Nissan Sunny include a new body paint called the sandstone brown. On the inside, the interior is now done in black instead of beige, with seats wrapped in fabric. The dashboard gets silver inserts around the centre console and gear lever. The update also comes with an exterior door handles finished in chrome. Except the following, no other changes have been made in the new Sunny.
The mechanicals unchanged as the Sunny is continued to be offered with a 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. The transmission choices include a five-speed manual while the petrol variant gets a CVT. Nissan has also provided the new Sunny with safety features such as ABS with EBD, brake assist as well as dual front and side airbags as standard across the range.
With the update, Nissan is trying to up its poor sales of its sedan offering in India. Since the competition has moved ahead with the facelifted Rapid, with new Vento and City arriving soon.
