Every car enthusiast around the world has at least once dreamt about owning the Nissan GT-R. This time around, reports indicate that the 2017 GT-R is set for its India launch on November 9. Pre-bookings for the same have already commenced against a booking amount of Rs 25 lakh. Post launch, the 2017 Nissan GT-R will compete against the likes of Porsche 911 Turbo and Audi R8V10 in India.
The upcoming Nissan GT-R will be powered by a 3.8-litre, V6, twin-turbocharged engine which puts out 562bhp and develops 637Nm of peak torque. Mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox, the vehicle does an unbelievable 0-100kmph in less than three seconds. The front gets a new V-motion grille that offers it a sportier stance. The upcoming car will be offered in shades of katsura orange, vibrant red, pearl black, pearl white, racing blue, gun metallic and ultimate silver.
Speaking about the interior, the new Nissan GT-R gets the instrument panel wrapped in Nappa leather and a new front seat design. It also gets a new multifunction display and a redesigned paddle shifter. The leather used in the interior matches the exterior colour. Though the pricing aspect is not known for now, we anticipate it to be priced well over Rs 1.5 crore (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
Edit: We now have an official confirmation that the Nissan GT-R will be launched for the Indian market on December 2.
