German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz will be launching the much awaited GLA facelift in the country. The new model gets a fresh set of cosmetic and feature upgrades, while mechanically it continues to be powered by existing engine options. The vehicle was globally unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show held earlier in January this year.
Visually, the new GLA gets a redesigned grille and reshaped bumpers. The vehicle will get LED headlamps and LED taillights and a bi-xenon headlight might be offered as optional. The vehicle will also get a revised interior for freshness, new dials on the instrument console and electric seat controls. The vehicle retains the eight-inch infotainment screen from the existing model. The new model is also expected to feature an additional bit of chrome for the premium appeal.
Mechanically, the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLA will be powered by existing 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine options. The range topping Yellow Night Edition which is available internationally, will not be introduced in India. Post launch it will compete against the likes of the BMW X1 and the Audi Q3.
