Maruti Suzuki has started accepting bookings for the new S-Cross at a token amount of Rs 11,000. Along with fresh cosmetic upgrades that give it an upright stance, the new model also gets the DDiS 200 engine with Smart Hybrid technology. The new model will be available in four variants – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. As for colour options, the new S-Cross will be available in – nexa blue, pearl arctic white, caffeine brown, premium silver and granite grey.
The new S-Cross from Maruti Suzuki comes loaded with an interesting set of features like idle-stop-start, torque assist, brake energy regeneration system and a gearshift indicator. Moreover, the company claims that the new model offers better fuel efficiency figures and improved performance over the current generation model. Maruti Suzuki further states that the new model is among the six models which are already compliant with advanced upcoming safety norms like frontal offset crash, side impact and pedestrian safety. The new S-Cross will get dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and rear seat ISO-FIX child seat safety mount as standard.
As for the interiors, the new model will get a satin chrome accent finish, a soft touch dashboard and well-coordinated seat fabric designs. The new model gets a piano black central panel and leather finish arm-rest for that premium feel. The company will also offer an intuitive touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in the upcoming new model.
The new exterior features sharp LED projector headlamps which are housed neatly with the daylight running lamps (DRLs). The vehicle gets chrome on the grille with vertical stacks, while the rear gets redesigned LED taillamps. The sculpted hood design gives it an upright masculine stance. The new model will compete against the likes of the Tata Nexon, Honda WR-V and the Hyundai Elite i20 in India.
