2017 Land Rover Discovery spied again

New spy shots of the 2017 Land Rover Discovery have appeared on the internet. The full-size off-roader, in fact, was spied in the UK wearing black and orange camouflage. These latest images give us a somewhat clear look of the fascia and the overall stance of the all-new Discovery. 

The outgoing Discovery is one of the oldest luxury off-roaders in its class. It will be replaced with the fifth-generation model that you see here. The latter will be built using Land Rover’s aluminium platform that underpins the Range Rover and the Range Rover Sport. This lightweight new platform will allow for significant weight savings over the existing Discovery which is one of the heaviest vehicles in the market.

The fifth-gen Discovery will be powered by Jaguar Land-Rover’s new four-cylinder diesel and petrol Ingenium engines. Besides these, there will also be electric models and bigger petrol and diesel V6 engine options. 

The 2017 Discovery will be revealed later this year, and will compete with other family off-roaders like the Audi Q7 and the Volvo XC90.
