An updated Honda Mobilio was recently revealed in Indonesia. This is the second time the car is getting an upgrade since its launch in 2014. A revised interior for the MPV was introduced in some international markets earlier, similar to how Honda launched the Amaze and Brio in India. However, in India the Mobilio has remained the same since its launch and we are now expecting it to change by mid-2017.
Like this Indonesian-spec Honda Mobilio, the Indian model is expected to get this refreshed design. The changes will be limited to cosmetic updates and there will be no mechanical changes.
The updated MPV now gets a new face and features a new swept back horizontal headlamp with black details. To add to the appeal, there are LED daytime running lights (DRLs) as well.
The grille is also new and sports a fat U-shaped chrome slat and a sleeker one below it. The front bumper is reworked with a new central air dam.
The front bumper features subtle muscular lines that are also done on the bonnet. The former also gets redesigned fog lamp enclosures.
And even if the overall front design has changed to give the Mobilio a sophisticated appeal, the side and the rear profile largely remains unchanged.
The interior will come equipped with steering mounted audio and phone controls paired to a touchscreen infotainment system. This supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the higher variants.
On the safety front, the MPV is expected to come with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and dual- front airbags as standard.
Upon launch, the facelifted Mobilio will compete with the Renault Lodgy and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in the Indian market.
