Honda has unveiled the Jazz facelift in Japan. Called the Fit in the Japanese domestic market, this third-generation model has been given a nip-and-tuck job for 2017.
The biggest visual changes include a redesigned front and rear bumper, which give the Jazz a muscular look. It also gets LED headlamps, daytime running light and fog lamps similar to the 2017 Honda City. It rides on redesigned 16-inch alloy wheels. The tail gate features a spoiler, while the tail lamps have also been revised. Inside, it gets new dual-tone upholstery. There has been no change in the layout.
There are no differences under the skin. The Jazz continues to be offered with 1.2-litre i-Vtec petrol and a 1.5-litre i-Dtec diesel engine options. The petrol gets the option of a five-speed manual or a CVT gearbox, while diesel car buyers have to make do with just a six-speed manual gearbox.
The current Honda Jazz was launched in India less than two years ago, and has been garnering decent sales numbers. However, we do not expect the new Jazz facelift to be unveiled in India before the 2018 Auto Expo.
