Honda Cars India Limited has started teasing the 2017 City facelift ahead of its official unveiling. They recently announced that they will launch the updated sedan in India on February 14, 2017.
The carmaker has not given out any information about the updates yet, but the video reveals all the changes on the sedan. There are some cosmetic tweaks including new headlamps with DRLs, tweaked front and rear bumpers, larger set of alloy wheels, a new boot lid mounted spoiler and redesigned tail lights. We can expect the City facelift to come with a new top-end variant, which will be called the City ZX. It will be equipped with these LED headlights and fog lamps and the car will ride on larger 16-inch alloys.
There are some changes inside the cabin too. Honda will offer a new touchscreen infotainment system, which will be compatible with Android Auto and a smartphone mirroring platform. We can expect the top-end variant to get a sun-roof, engine start-stop push button, cruise control and automatic air-conditioning amongst other luxury features.
There will be no mechanical changes to the facelifted City sedan. It will continue to be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission options will also be carried over including the six-speed manual and a CVT gearbox.
The carmaker has started accepting pre-launch bookings and prospective buyers can book the upcoming car by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000. Variant-wise pricing and more details will be revealed later this month. Stay tuned to CarWale.
