At the ongoing 2017 Bangkok Motor Show, German automaker Audi unveiled led the India-bound Q5 and the A5 Coupe for Bangkok and Malaysia. The India-bound new Q5 gets a host of fresh upgrades and features to make it a strong competitor in the country. As for the A5 Coupe, we might get to see it in S5 nomenclature or a four-door sportsback version.
The 2017 Audi Q5 unveiled at the event is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version is powered by 2.0-litre TFSI engine that generates 249bhp of power, while the diesel gets a 2.0-litre TDI turbo engine that generates 188bhp of power. Both the engines come mated to seven-speed S-Tronic gearbox and Quattro AWD system as standard. On the design aspect, the new Q5 borrows a few styling cues from its sibling, Q7. The SUV gets new LED headlights and LED taillamps. Apart from 19-inch rims as standard, the optional S-line exterior package offers 20-inch alloy wheels along with front and rear parking aid.
As for the interior, based on what could be seen, the new Q5 gets leather upholstery in optional black or nougat brown shade. Based on the variant, Audi also offers electric adjustable front seats, Bang and Olufsen audio system, cruise control, MMI Radio Plus with a 7-inch TFT display, sport contour multifunction steering wheel and front sports seats.
The Audi A5 Coupe is powered by a 2.0-litre inline four petrol engine that generates 199bhp of power at 4,300rpm and 350Nm of torque at 1,500rpm. The powerful engine comes mated to 7 speed S-tronic automatic transmission with all-wheel drive. In terms of dimensions, the A5 Coupe measures 4,626mm in length, 1,854mm wide, 1,372mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,751mm.
Like its older siblings, the A5 Coupe also gets premium upholstery, power adjustable front seat with driver’s memory function, dual-zone automatic climate control and Bang and Olufsen audio system. As for safety, the vehicle gets multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, stability control and a lot more.
