The upcoming facelift of the Toyota Land Cruiser has been spied in the Middle East. Two photographs revealing the front and rear of the Land Cruiser were uploaded on Instagram, giving us the first glimpse of the mega SUV.
The new Land Cruiser will be an updated version of the LC 200 series, which has been on sale since 2007. While the underpinning will be similar to the current model, the new Land Cruiser will get a revamped front with a boxier design and more core chrome garnishing. The rear gets redesigned tail lamps which integrate LEDs and a new chrome bar on the tailgate.
The new Land Cruiser will get some comprehensive technological updates inspired by the Lexus LX570 to bring it on par with the competition. Mechanically, we can expect it to continue using the 4.4-litre V8 and the 5.7-litre V8 diesel engines.
By the looks of it, the new Land Cruiser is already in its production stage and we can expect it to be globally unveiled by the end of this year. It rivals other seven-seater SUVs like the Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz GL, Nissan Patrol and the Land Rover Discovery.
