Renault India recently launched the updated Lodgy Stepway in five trims unlike the ones first launched in June 2015. This time, the Stepway edition can be had with the 85PS engine option as well with prices starting from Rs 9.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The carmaker claims to have given the 2016 Stepway version 16 new feature additions on the outside and inside. Let's check them out through these pictures.
Upfront, you will notice that the front grille with horizontal slots from the regular version is now detailed with chrome. There is a front skid plate and the fog lamp inserts have also been worked upon.
Coming on to the sides, a subtle 'Stepway' decal has been added on to the front door. This adds a bit of exclusivity to the special edition and differentiates it from the standard MPV.
The black plastic cladding looks beefed up and more detailed near the wheel arches. The Stepway variant rides on 16-inch Panache alloy wheels that add a bit of flair to the vehicle.
The Stepway variant of the Lodgy also gets roof rails, but close observation reveals that they are dark metal finished and not the standard black ones.
The Stepway's interior feature a Gris Fume and beige coloured leather blended upholstery and door sill plates. The dashboard layout and the touch screen infotainment system equipment remains the same.
Earlier, Renault offered the Lodgy Stepway only in the RxZ 110PS trim. Now it is available with both 85PS and 110PS states of tune of the same 1.5-litre diesel engine under the hood.
Transmission options include a five-speed manual gearbox for the 85PS version, while the 110PS model comes paired to a six-speed manual transmission.
The five variants offered on the Stepway Lodgy include RxL 85PS, RxL 110PS, RxZ 85PS and RxZ 110PS, which can be had in the seven-seater or eight-seater trim.
Renault Lodgy Stepway now comes in six colour options - pearl white, moonlight silver, planet grey, royal orchid, slate grey and fiery red. The last two are the latest additions to the colour pallete.
