Porsche is busy readying a new version of its luxurious four-door sedan, the Panamera. Seen in numerous spy shots in the past, the vehicle has been spotted yet again, this time in Europe.
Details are thin at the moment as to what the car will look like and which platform will underpin this new model although Porsche is expected to make use of the VW Group’s MSB platform (modular standard architecture) which will result in a significant weight loss over the existing Panamera.
The new Panamera is expected to get significant upgrades in terms of mechanicals, with the possible introduction of new 3-litre, twin-turbo, V6 engine replacing the naturally aspirated V8 unit powering the 4S model.
Porsche is expected to launch the new Panamera later this year or early next year to compete with other sporty, luxury sedans like the Maserati Quattroporte and the Aston Martin Rapide.
