Suzuki has unveiled the Vitara Brezza for the Indonesia market at their 2016 edition of their premiere motor show. The compact SUV is made in India and is being offered only with the 1.3-litre Mutijet diesel. However, the highlight of this launch is that it will be offered with an automatic transmission.
The AT option, in this case, is the same five-speed AMT found in the Dzire compact sedan. In addition to this there will also be the five-speed manual which is currently being offered in India. The diesel engine produces 90bhp and 190Nm of torque.
Design wise and even feature, this Indonesia-spec Vitara Brezza is very similar to the one sold in India. It is however, expected to get some additional safety features to comply with the Indonesian safety standards.
This same vehicle is expected to be launched in India once Maruti Suzuki has launched the petrol variant which is expected to be powered by the 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine. This will help Maruti Suzuki bring the fight to the Ecoboost powered Ford EcoSport.
