Fresh images of the 2016 Honda Civic making its way to Malaysian dealerships have surfaced. Ahead of its official launch, local dealerships have already started accepting bookings for the upcoming vehicle. The new Civic might feature optional Modulo accessories for personalisation, as seen during the 2016 Bangkok International Motor Show.
Under the hood, the 2016 Honda Civic will be offered with three engine options- 1.8-litre (base), 1.5-litre Turbo (mid-range) and the 1.5 Turbo Premium (top-end) engines. The smaller four-cylinder petrol engine generates about 139bhp of power and 174Nm of torque. The bigger engines will come with turbocharged petrol units which generate about 171bhp of power and 220Nm of torque. The bigger engines will come mated to CVT with Earth Dreams technology.
Speaking about features, the 2016 Honda Civic in Malaysia gets eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and six airbags as standard features. As for the mid and higher range, the variants will get LED headlamps with DRLs, remote engine start, walk away auto lock, 17-inch two-tone alloys and chrome door handles.
