The Honda Civic Coupe is the newest member of the 10-generation Civic line-up. Having made its global debut recently at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, the all-new Civic Coupe will launch in the US in March 2016.
The Coupe carries a bold front fascia, fastback profile and sharp-edged detailing. It also benefits from the lower seating position, or hip point, of the new Civic platform, which amplifies the Coupe's low and wide stance.
The Coupe features a lower and more steeply raked roofline, nearly 1 inch lower than the sedan and more compact proportions. Furthermore, the unique rear taillight design carries the arch of the C-shaped LED taillights across the full length of the rear deck lid.
The 2016 Coupe, like its sedan counterpart, will feature two new engine options. While lower trims receive a new 2-litre i-VTEC engine developing 158bhp, higher trims are powered by a new 1.5-litre direct-injected turbocharged engine putting out 174bhp.
Standard equipment on top-spec models include automatic headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, climate control, remote engine start, heated front seats and side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers and 7-inch touchscreen display.
The 2016 Civic Coupe is the second in a series of 10th-generation Civic models that Honda will launch in the US over the course of the next 18 months. These new models will include the Civic Sedan, Coupe, the first-ever 5-door hatchback for the US market, Si performance variants and finally the high-performance Civic Type-R.
