American automaker Ford’s Fiesta has been present across the global markets for quite some time now. Visitors attending the 2016 Geneva Motor show, were indeed greeted by the new Ford Fiesta ST200 that was unveiled at the event. Ford has offered the new Ford Fiesta ST200 in an exclusive Storm Grey shade. The unveiled model is believed to be about 10% more powerful than the older trim and also generates about 20% of more torque. Some of the features that are unique to the Fiesta ST200 are red painted brake calipers, Partial leather Recaro seats with silver detailed seat belts and contrast stitching.
Under the hood, the Ford Fiesta ST200 is powered by a retuned 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine that generates about 198bhp of power and 290Nm of torque. Switch to the Transient overboost mode and the tweaked engine generate an additional 14bhp and 30Nm of torque for about 15 seconds. The Fiesta ST200 is capable of attaining a top speed of about 230km/h. The vehicle is capable of doing a 0 - 100km/h in just about 6.7 seconds.
The new Ford Fiesta ST200 is loaded with set of interesting features like - rear disc brakes with larger braking master cylinder, adapted rear twist beam with increased roll stiffness and 15mm lower centre of gravity. Additionally, the vehicle also features enhancement in form of 3-mode stability control, modified front steering knuckle and enhanced torque vectoring control. Ford currently has no plans to introduce the Fiesta ST200 in the Indian market. Once its production begins in June, the vehicle would be introduced in European market.
