Chevrolet has been testing the new Spark (Beat) since a long time and finally the uncamouflaged version of the hatchback has been spotted somewhere in Korea. This new car is expected to be officially unveiled globally this year.
The next generation Chevrolet Spark (Beat) has been spied testing several times earlier, but here are images of the new car completely undisguised that give out all the details. The new vehicle shares its underpinnings with the Opel Karl and Vauxhall Viva. The new design is unlike the previous styling of the Spark and more like the new Hyundai cars. The fascia sports a split grille like the new Hyundai Elite i20 hatchback and is embellished with chrome. The round fog lamps are surrounded by subtle chrome linings as well.
The new Chevrolet Spark is expected to be powered by a new three-cylinder 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine churning our 90bhp or 110bhp of power. This mill will come mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
This latest iteration of the Spark might be unveiled at the Geneva Motor show and then go on sale in the United States and Korea. It would be interesting to see when this comprehensively revised Spark will be brought to India by General Motors. Hopefully, its new sporty styling as against the current funky design should find a good demand in our country.
