GM has released a new teaser of the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, giving us a sneak peek of the interior of the sedan. The American manufacturer recently announced that the new Cruze will be unveiled on June 24, though it might be a while before the car is launched in India.
The teaser previews the new infotainment system of the Cruze, called MyLink. This new system will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and allows integration of [FV1] smartphone apps and functionality with the touch screen on the centre console. Besides this system, the teaser also gives us a glimpse of the new multifunction steering wheel and the start/stop ignition button.
While Chevrolet is sure to retain the 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine for the new Cruze, we can also expect it to add a couple of powertrain options in this new model. Globally, the new Cruze is also expected to get a new 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine and a new plug-in hybrid version. Transmission options are expected to include a new dual-clutch transmission.
In India, the Cruze competes with other D-Segment sedans like the Toyota Corolla Altis, Volkswagen Jetta, Hyundai Elantra and the Skoda Octavia.
