The 2016 Chevrolet Cruze has been completely revealed, thanks to a set of spy shots clicked during the car’s photoshoot in the US. With a new design language inspired by the Malibu and the Impala sedans, the 2016 Cruze features a sportier profile, which gives it a sleeker and more stylish look than the current car.
The front of the 2016 Cruze features Chevrolet’s trademark split grille with chrome accents, and sleeker headlamps which integrate LED DRLs. While Chevrolet is sure to retain the 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine for the new Cruze, we can also expect it to add a couple of more powertrain options in this new model. Besides this 2.0-litre oil burner, rumour mills suggest that the American car maker is also planning to introduce a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine, a new plug-in hybrid version and a new dual-clutch transmission in this new model.
The new Chevrolet Cruze might make its global debut at the LA Auto Show in Novemebr, this year, which means that we can expect it to be launched here in the second half of 2016. The Cruze rivals other D-Segment sedans like the Toyota Corolla Altis, Volkswagen Jetta, Hyundai Elantra and the Skoda Octavia.
