Chevrolet has unveiled a high-end version of its Trailblazer SUV called the Premier. The stately nomenclature comes courtesy of cosmetic updates both inside and outside.
On the outside, the Trailblazer gets a silver-blue paint job which the company has called velocity. The face gets a special bumper while the steps on the side have been moulded in chrome. The rear gets a spoiler while it rides on grey colour multi-spoke 22-inch wheels.
The cabin gets the standard Trailblazer layout but has now been trimmed out in two-tone layout including the dashboard. The premier additions include piping for the seats and mats as well as special hand stitched nets behind the front seats.
There is no word on the mechanicals but it seems highly possible that this car is powered by the 2.8-litre four-cylinder motor found in the standard car. It produces 200bhp and 500Nm of torque with power going to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual or a six-speed AT. The Thai market also gets the AWD option.
The car is currently a concept but may go into production if there is sufficient demand. It would sell well in India where large SUVs, chrome and a subscript like Premier all signify richness.
