The cabin and headlamp design of the China-spec 2016 Audi A4 has been leaked. The pictures reveal a revised and slightly more minimalistic design for the cabin while the headlamp assembly gets more LEDs than the current car. The pictures also show some part of the new grille which, by the look of things is now more on the lines of what has been shown with the Q7 and TT coupe.
First off, the cabin design now sports a minimalistic design with lesser buttons, new gear shift lever as well as revised infotainment system. However, the overall layout has been retained from the current vehicle and will look familiar from to the current crop of Audi cabins.
The headlamp design now appears to have more LEDs as compared to the current model. The daytime running lamps and indicators have become a single unit that flow around the projector lights. We have also got a glimpse of the grille which, as we have said earlier, is now more in line with their new design which we have seen on the TT, R8, A6 and Q7 models.
The next generation will be revealed in early September at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. It will be underpinned by the second generation MLB platform and almost 100kgs lighter than the outgoing model.
We India will get the A4 just a short while after its global launch as it is one of the volume models for the Ingolstadt -based automaker. There is a high possibility that this car too will get a significant price hike as it is no longer the entry- level model in the Audi hierarchy.
