The Audi A4 has been a considerable contributor to the German automaker’s sales. The much awaited A4 facelift which was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo event will debut in August this year. The facelift Audi A4 is available in international markets since 2015.
Under the hood, the 2016 Audi A4 will be offered with three engine options – a 2.0-litre diesel, a 3.0-litre diesel and a 1.4-litre petrol engine. Replacing the current CVT, the tweaked engines will come mated to a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. Audi might also introduce a manual transmission option in India. The new Audi A4 will be offered in three trims – Premium, Premium Plus and Technology.
The upcoming new Audi A4 might get five Audi Drive Select modes- Auto, Dynamic, Comfort, Individual and Efficiency. The sedan will get standard safety features like ABS, ESP and six airbags. Speaking of interiors, the new A4 shared some design cues with the Q7 and it features neat upholstery and new switches to give it a mature appeal.
For comfort and entertainment, the new Audi A4 gets the latest MMI system, two-zone climate control, rear AC vents and optional Bang and Olufsen 3D surround sound system. Though official pricing is not out yet, we anticipate it to be priced a little higher than the current range.
