What you are looking at here is the Allroad version of the latest generation A4. For those unfamiliar with this breed of vehicles from Audi, Allroad models are jacked up, tough-looking versions based on the standard models from the German brand.
The new A4 Allroad, expectedly, sits slightly higher off the ground and features redesigned front and rear bumpers. Not much else apart from this can be ascertained at present, thanks to the camouflage.
The Allroad version will get the same set of powertrain options from the standard A4, except for the entry-level, 1.4-litre TFSI engine due to its lack of torque. The line-up will include the 2-litre TFSI unit with 190bhp and 320Nm of torque as well as the 3-litre, V6 TDI with 272bhp and 600Nm of torque.
When launched, the A4 Allroad will compete head on with the Volvo V60 Cross Country in the global markets. Both these models aren’t expected to come to India anytime soon.
