Skoda has given us all yet another glimpse of the 2015 Fabia which is set to make its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October this year. The Czech automaker has officially released a couple of additional teaser images of the upcoming hatchback model.
In this latest set of images, the car is seen finished in a racy blue paint and with LED daytime running lights and the signature Skoda grille. There’s also a hint of the Volkswagen Polo in the sweptback headlights.
Now in its third generation, the 2015 Fabia continues to make use of the PQ25 platform which underpins the outgoing model. The 2015 model, however, uses a heavily updated version of the same platform, making the car much lighter than before. In the international markets, the new Fabia will be powered by a Euro 6-compliant engine range consisting of 3 and 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines.
Skoda has put a lot on emphasis on making the new Skoda as light and fuel efficient as possible. The base-spec petrol model is even said to weigh well under a ton.
The 2015 Fabia is expected to debut at this year’s Paris Motor Show in October. The car will be available in both hatchback and estate versions. Sadly, the high-performance vRS version will not see the light of day as Skoda has decided to bin the model owing to sluggish sales.
