The new Chevrolet Spark has made its world premiere at the New York Auto Show. This is the next generation model of the car that was spied testing several times earlier in Korea.
The updated hatchback is the latest iteration of the Spark that shares its underpinnings with the Opel Karl and Vauxhall Viva. The fascia sports a sleek looking split grille embellished with chrome and the round fog lamps are surrounded by subtle chrome linings as well. The rear door handles are still mounted near the C-Pillars in the window frame.
The cabin of the vehicle also gets a lot of changes that not just increases the premium feel, but also raises the luxury quotient. The feature list includes heated front seats, infotainment system, sunroof, cruise control, park assist and a heated steering wheel. The 2016 Spark is powered by a new three-cylinder 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 90bhp or 110bhp of power. This mill comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
