2015 New York Auto Show: Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet showcased

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet have been showcased at the 2015 New York Auto Show. Both vehicles are already on sale in the American market and these vehicles on display appear to be the 2016 MY cars.

The E-Class Cabriolet on sale in America is the E400 variant while the coupe which is a newer model is the E550 variant. Both look very similar to the standard E-Class in terms of external design but sit lower and have sportier bumpers.

The interior too is very similar to that of the standard E-Class with the only major exception being that the space in the rear seats is lesser than that of the standard car. On the engine front, the E400 cabriolet gets a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 engine that produces 329bhp and 467Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed AT.
