While Dodge announced the 1 of 1 program for the Viper at the start of the year, we got to see it firsthand at the NYIAS. The bespoke example showcases the opportunity of owing an exclusive Viper GTC, personalised for one’s taste.
The 1 of 1 program offers customers a catalogue of 8,000 exterior paint shades, 24,000 ‘hand-painted’ stripe patterns, choice of 10 alloy-wheels, 16 interior trims and an option of six aerodynamic packages. And all of the above is available for no extra cost with the 645bhp Viper GTC (we repeat, no additional cost!).
That is not all – customers ordering the GTC will be enrolled under a special Viper Concierge program that will provide access to the 160 hour painting process, which will also be documented with detailed pictures. The program will start at the time of the order, wherein the customer will receive a paint chip of their chosen colour. This will then be followed by 1:18 replica of their car and if the customer confirms the colour choice, the car will be built exactly as per the request. Dodge also offers the option of fitting a custom dash plate that could carry the owner’s name or whatever else he or she wants written on it.
The GTC is priced at USD 94,950 (Rs 61 lakh) and there is no point of even thinking about the Indian price, since it won’t be launched here anytime soon. The reason we wanted to talk about this one is that we think it is really cool and Dodge is offering so much for such a low price (relatively!).
