Now that the exquisitely built 2014 Mercedes Benz S-Class is out and drawing attention everywhere, it’s time for the sportier, two-door coupe to catch the fancy of enthusiasts around the globe. Ahead of its expected global debut at the next month’s 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the all-new S-Class coupe has been leaked, thanks to a high resolution official photo hitting the web.
From the looks of it, this all- new model is more than game to replace the CL-Class which is based on the previous generation S-Class platform. Speaking of which, the CL-Class has always been Mercedes’ big, luxurious coupe with exclusivity being one of the leading traits. The new S-Class Coupe, then, will have a tough act to follow.
Underneath the stylish design, the new S-Class coupe will share the same set of engines as the regular four-door sedan. Expect the range to include a 3-litre twin-turbo V6 with 330bhp and a 4.7-litre V8 with 450bhp.
And as the tradition goes, there will also be an AMG version which will follow in later. The car in question will be powered by a 5.5-litre, bi-turbo V8 engine from the 2014 S63 AMG. Stay tuned to this page for more updates on the S-Class coupe and all the other important cars headed to the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
