The 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been spotted en route to a warehouse in Malaysia. A report from Paultan suggests that these cars were without badges and trimmed out in the same external design as the UK-spec Sport variant.
The report suggests that this is likely to be the C200 petrol which is powered by a 2.0-litre four pot motor that produces 184bhp and 300Nm of torque. The engine is offered with either a six-speed manual or the 7G –tronic Plus automatic gearbox.
In terms of external design, the car is based on the UK sport trim giving it the new grille, bumper and more noticeably the alloy wheel design that debuted on the A-Class when it was launched. The new C-Class looks like a smaller version of the 2014 S-Class, so the obvious premium appeal is already there in the vehicle.
We expect that Mercedes-Benz will bring the new C-Class to the Indian market in both petrol and a diesel version after it has launched the CLA sedan. It is expected to be priced above Rs 38 lakh due to the fact that the soon-to-be-launched CLA sedan will take its present place in the Mercedes-Benz hierarchy.
