The facia of the 2015 Hyundai i20 has been revealed courtesy a test vehicle spotted on the go somewhere in Europe. The 2015 Hyundai i20 is expected to be revealed at the 2014 Paris Motor Show and will based on the Korean automakers fluidic design philosophy.
The test car’s tightly wrapped camouflage reveals that the 2015 i20 will get a design very similar to that of the Grand i10/European spec 2014 i10, as has been the case with both the cars in their previous generation. This design language includes the octagonal air dam, thin single piece grille and sharp angular headlights. However, it appears that the 2015 i20 will get a sharper and sportier bumper as compared to the 2014 i10.
The side profile is characterised by the forward leaning stance and the diamond cut alloy wheels which made their debut on the 2014 i10/Grand i10. It is expected to get a similar rear-end as compared to the i10 but with a proportionate increase in size. We expect that the 2015 i20 will maintain its proportions as it is 3,995mm literally pushing the upper limit of the sub- four metre rules.
It is expected to be powered by the same set of engines as the current car which means that the petrol is the 1.2-litre Kappa unit while the diesel is the 1.4-litre four-cylinder CRDI engine. Gearbox options include the five-speed manual/four-speed AT for the petrol and the six-speed manual for the diesel.
