Ford’s famed EcoBoost engine family has now found its way into the Mustang in the form of a 2.3-litre four-cylinder engine producing 312bhp and 433Nm of torque. While the lack of the 3.6-litre V6 mill is lamented, purists will rejoice at the availability of the famous 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine producing 415bhp and 524Nm of torque. Both engines can be had with a six-speed AT or a six-speed manual.
