The all-new Ford Everest (Endeavour in India) has been spied testing in Australia. The SUV slated for an early 2015 launch for the first time will be sold outside ASEAN countries.
A quick look at the spy pictures reveal the vehicle hidden under camouflage looks much similar to the concept model unveiled in Australia and Bangkok. The Everest concept unveiled by Ford looked very production like without the exaggeration which we have come to expect from concept cars. Although it is still under test and sometime ago the same vehicle was spied snow testing with a different body, speculations arise on whether this is the actual production body.
The website that got the spy pictures also claim the seven-seater SUV will come fitted with a new intelligent one-touch multi-mode all-wheel-drive drivetrain, to take on different terrains.
The new Endeavour may be powered by the same 2.5-litre and 3.0-litre oil burners albeit with a new six-speed manual box and a new Auto transmission.
We can expect the Endeavour to be launched in India immediately after it goes on sale globally. The big SUV from Ford did really well here when launched but the Toyota Fortuner spoilt its party. This time around the American car maker will look forward to dominating the SUV segment again with its new Endeavour.
