Porsche, along with the fastest Cayenne, has unveiled the fastest 911 Targa 4 in GTS spec at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show. This GTS variant is special as it is designed to celebrate 50 years of the 911 Targa.
The Targa 4 GTS gets a 3.8-litre six-pot mill churning out 423bhp and 440Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0-100kmph in 4.1 seconds and has a claimed top speed in excess of 300kmph.
The Targa 4 GTS gets tinted bi-xenon headlamps, sportier front bumper, slightly wider rear fenders and a sportier front bumper. A sport exhaust system, gloss black 20-inch alloy wheels and aerodynamic mirrors differentiate it further from the other Targa models. It also gets PASM chassis and the Sport Chrono package.
Inside the cabin, the changes are miniscule, but it gets four-way adjustable Sport Plus seats and Alcantara upholstery to go with the sportier image.
The Targa 4 GTS will go on sale in Germany by March and will cost Rs 1.01 crore there. We can expect the car to be launched in India before the end of this year.
