BMW is playing with the styling of its next 7 Series, code-named the G11. The spy photos of its latest prototype do reveal a lot about the design style as the body of the new car is much wider and sportier than the current model.
The 2015 BMW 7 Series may be lighter by 204 kg, courtesy a lightweight platform which mixes aluminum with carbon fiber and steel. It also sports a massive dual exhaust as well.
Under the hood, it is expected to pack a four-cylinder giving 260bhp for the basic version and end with a V8 4.0-litre twin-turbo delivering 475bhp and 650Nm in what will be a range-topping M770i xDrive.
As for technology, one could expect a lot of convenience features such as self-parking and even some autonomous driving capability.
The next generation of the German automaker’s flagship sedan is due in late 2015 or early the following year.
