The 2014 Toyota Corolla is likely to be showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo in February according to a report from Indianautosblog. This car that will be showcased is the eleventh generation Corolla that was unveiled earlier this year in two versions. The American and European versions are both derived from the Corolla Furia concept vehicle that was showcased in Detroit in January. It has already been spotted testing in India near Toyota’s factory outside Bengaluru.
The American spec car is produced at Toyota’s plant in Mississippi while the European Spec version is produced at the Japanese automaker’s plant in Turkey. It is likely that initially Toyota is likely to import CKD kits from the Turkey plant and then eventually start producing the car locally for many Asian markets from the Bidadi plant.
We have already spoken in detail about both the European Spec Corolla and the American Corolla and you can find links to both stories below.
