The new Maruti Suzuki SX4 S-Cross gets a five-star rating for safety by the Euro NCAP organisation. This is the second vehicle from the carmaker, the first being the Swift, to achieve this high rating.
Euro NCAP safety tests including impact to the frontal side of the car, pole side and other car-to-car impacts were performed on the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. Other tests of the speed assistance systems, safety assistance systems, whipflash etc. were also taken. The car gave good results and has scored the maximum. The 1.6-litre G+, left-hand drive variant was put to test. It scored well and was one of the vehicles to be graded by the Euro NCAP organisation. The S-cross has been made for the European car markets. Its manufacturing plant is in Hungary.
Crash-tests are organised by the Euro NCAP. Most cars sold in Europe have gone through the safety performance tests conducted by the organisation. The entire car design was made keeping in mind the guidelines laid by them.
This organisation has played a vital role in assessing the safety standard of cars in Europe and also making other improvements alongside.
