The Panamera Turbo S is the latest offering from the Porsche stable to debut, this October, in India and news is that they have opened the order books for the car. It made its global entry at the Shanghai Auto Show after which it was introduced for the European market.
The 2014 spec of the Porsche Panamera Turbo S gets new LED headlamps and larger air intakes on the front bumper. The alloy wheel design is different, adding to a change in the side profile which otherwise remains the same. A few tweaks on the bumper and a bigger wind screen is what we can see at the back of the vehicle. It also boasts of a new spoiler system which is apparently better and more efficient than the former one.
The biggest highlight of the Turbo S is the additional power it gets due to new turbochargers with larger compressors in the engine. Powered by the 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine it now churns out 570bhp and about 800Nm of torque. With a top-speed of 310kmph the car can do 0-100kmph in just 3.8 seconds.
Bookings for this new Panamera Turbo S are open at dealerships in India and deliveries are slated to begin by February 2014. This car is speculated to cost Rs 24-25 lakh more than the Porsche Panamera Turbo which costs Rs 2.01 crore. The executive variant of the 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S will premiere at the Tokyo Motor Show soon.
