The interiors of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class have snapped up by the team at Autospies.com. The latest iteration of the German automakers flagship sedan is likely to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and then the New York Motor Show for the American market.
The report suggests, the interiors of the new model have changed completely from the current version but the overall design of the cabin remains the same. The cabin has been fitted with increased amounts of wood and there is now a two-spoke steering wheel, though we doubt the latter will make it into production. While the report has not specified much about the back seats, we can safely assume that since this the flagship model it will be fitted with the latest in passenger comfort and technology.
However, the highlight of the dashboard is two massive screens with one behind the steering wheel displaying driver information and the other in the middle for navigation/infotainment. The camouflaged car had also been fitted with the 360-degree camera that recently made its debut on the new GL-Class.
On the outside, the 2014 S-Class looks pretty similar to the current model but has now been fitted with full LED lights (front and back), re-profiled exhaust pipe design and more sharper boot like the ones we have been seeing on the new E-Class.
Mercedes-Benz has already confirmed that the 2014 S-Class won’t be just one car, but an entire model range. Apart from the standard and extended wheelbase versions, Mercedes-Benz is expected to offer extra-long-wheelbase limousine version that will also don the Pullman badge. The most important additions though will be the coupe and cabriolet versions.
The coupe S-Class will have two-doors and will replace the current CL-Class to compete with the Bentley Continental GT. Similarly the convertible version will go against the Bentley Continental GTC, now that Merc has pulled the plug on Maybach.
