The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class is scheduled to make a public debut in January at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. However, according to reports from a German blog providing Mercedes-Benz specific content, this 2014 variant of the C Class will be fully revealed on December 16.
All specifications of the 2014 version of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class are expected to be disclosed then. It is speculated that the car will be available in different colours such as Diamond Silver, Palladium Silver, Iridium Silver, Brilliant Blue and Polar White. Sources also reveal that the Elegance trim might be replaced by the Line Exclusive trim.
It will also boast of some of the technological systems currently available in the S-Class vehicles from the manufacturer. Featuring an Airmatic suspension, the car will be packed with features like the keyless go system and Airpanel, which is a adjustable radiator shutter.
The upcoming C-Class is supposedly powered by diesel as well as petrol engines. Engine specifications are not yet available but the C220 BlueTEC oil-burner is expected to produce 170bhp of power. On the other hand, the petrol versions – C180 and C200 will produce 156bhp and 184bhp respectively.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz C Class will be launched in the American and European market early next year. We expect this variant to be launched in emerging car markets like India by end of next year. We will bring you more updates about the car with details being released two weeks from now.
