Edit: Check Live updates from the Honda City launch event.
The Honda City Diesel has been one of the most awaited cars of this year. Honda removed the wraps off its 2014 spec City at a press conference in Delhi on November 25 and the car is due for a launch next month.
The launch date for this new car is being speculated to be in the second week of January and Cartoq.com reports the car has been scheduled to be launched on January 9, 2014. Honda has been tight-lipped about the new Honda City by not revealing any details of the car before the unveiling. The prices are still not available and we expect the prices of all the variants to be revealed at the launch.
It is the first Honda City car with a diesel engine from the Japanese manufacturer. Honda claims that the 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine is India’s most efficient diesel engine delivering a ARAI tested mileage of 26 kmpl. The petrol variant powered by the 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine mated to a five-speed automatic delivers fuel efficiency of 18kmpl. It is said to be India’s most fuel-efficient petrol automatic.
We will keep you updated about the advancements on the fourth generation Honda City as and when we get more details. So stay tuned to Carwale.
