Honda is likely to take the covers off their most awaited car of the year, the new 2014 Honda City, at a press conference in New Delhi on November 25. This is pretty much their last car for this year and the automaker has been keeping it as a fiercely guarded secret, refusing to let anyone in on any details. The car has been talk the of the Internet for quite some time as no spy pictures of the car or its prototypes had been caught by any of the auto websites. The new Honda City is speculated to be based on the Honda Jazz/Fit and assimilates features from Honda’s ‘Exciting Design H!!!’ language. Not many details are known but we expect the car to get a new grille, different headlamps, tail lamps and more sportier touches to the overall design. The interiors might be based on the previous version but will pack a lot of new features. Honda is likely to offer the same 1.5-litre engine currently powering the Honda Amaze. However, there is a chance of the carmaker bringing in the 1.6-litre i-DTEC engine powering the CRV launched in UK.
Honda has already stopped production of the current City to make way for this new car. Rumours are also going around that unofficial bookings of the car have already begun. The hype regarding the car will be reaching its crescendo closer to the launch. If you want to be in the loop, stay tuned to Carwale for more details on the new Honda City.
