The engine specifications for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray have officially been revealed. The iconic American sports car in its latest iteration was unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show in January and this was followed by the convertible version a month later in Geneva.
The Corvette gets a new small block 6.2-litre LT1 V8 mill. It produces 455PS and 624Nm of torque as compared to the outgoing models 430PS and 574Nm of torque. Chevrolet is also offering an additional exhaust package that boosts the output to 460PS and 630Nm of torque.
Chevrolet has not provided a top speed but says the 2014 Corvette will go from 0 to 100kmph in less than four seconds but has a fuel efficiency of 11.5kmpl thanks to direct injection and cylinder deactivation technology.
The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette will go on sale later this year with Coupe being priced at 51, 995 USD (Rs 29.21 lakh) while the convertible has been priced at 56, 995 USD (Rs 32 lakh).
