Chevrolet has unveiled a convertible version of its Camaro muscle car. Based on the 2014 Coupe that was unveiled this year, it sports an automatic canvas roof that folds into to the boot at the press of a button. However the changes done to make the car a convertible have minimally affected the overall design of the vehicle thus Chevrolet has been able to retain all major cues that define the Camaro.
Convertible or Coupe, the Camaro will continue to be powered by a 6.2-litre small block V8 mill that fires 434PS and 569Nm of torque at the rear-wheels. While the Coupe does 0-100kmph in 5.2 seconds, the convertible will do the same in 5.4 seconds.
Changes to the 2014 model include a revised grille, new headlights as well as tail lamps and as we said before the car seems to become a tad bit longer. Inside new features include a revised infotainment system now coupled with a touch screen.
It is expected to go on sale in Germany later this year and has been priced at 39, 990 Euros (Rs 34.54 lakh) for the coupe and 44, 990 Euros (Rs 38.86 lakh) for the convertible version.
