BMW has planned something for the Diwali season albeit a bit late. The Bavarian automaker will launch the 2014 model of the Z4 roadster in India on November 14 according to a report. The updated sportster will make its entry here almost a year after its world premiere at the Detroit Motor Show, earlier in January.
India will be getting the Z4 sDrive35i and will be quite similar to the outgoing model of the roadster save a few cosmetic changes. The car will be equipped with LEDs in the headlamps, new alloy wheel designs and will come in three colour options. A contrasted roof could be an option.
Looking into the interiors, there will be gloss black trim for the air-conditioning vent and an anthracite wood finish for the centre console. The iDrive system will come with iPhone connectivity now. This car will be powered by a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder twin turbo engine which throws up 355.1bhp and 400Nm of torque. The power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual clutch automatic.
The updated Z4 should cost a bit more than the outgoing model – but a lot depends upon the value of the Rupee as it is brought to India as a CBU.
