Renault Fluence facelifted version has been launched today at the Auto Expo at Rs 14.22 lakh. The car on display was in Pearl Black. The Fluence gets its second upgrade and certainly looks more handsome than its predecessor. The changes are cosmetic and minimal but higher than what they did in 2012.
The 2014 Fluence gets all-new bumpers, a new grille to make the front fascia appeal to a wider audience, new headlamps, tail lights that add more flair and all-new alloy wheels to finish the new look.
The French carmaker’s flagship model in India, will continue to be assembled through the CKD route and will get the reliable 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine and with a new 1.6-litre petrol mill. The Fluence will begin its third innings at the market this time with a friendlier design and well-appointed interiors. It comes with 6-speed manual transmission and sits on 16-inch alloy wheels. The car has an ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of 20.4kmpl.
The all-new Fluence’s updates are very convincing and it looks like it belongs to a segment above. Renault India would hope to sell more Fluences this year and how customers receive it has to be seen.
